MyListMate is distributed in a single self-extracting executable file (named something like this : MLMT2011sw.exe). To start the installation simply execute the installation file. There are several ways to do this. You can use Windows Explorer and double-click on the MLMT2011sw.exe file, or you could choose Run from the Start Menu and enter the path of the installation file. NOTE. If you downloaded a zipped copy of MyListMate then you should extract the installation file from the ZIP file before running it. Whichever method you choose,
the installation program when run will firstly extract its components to a
temporary folder on your computer.

Before installing MyListMate, please ensure that you are not running any existing versions of MyListMate on your computer. You do not need to uninstall any previous versions of MyListMate, but you must ensure that MyListMate is not running during installation.
Checking system
The MyListMate setup program will check your system for some required components and make sure they are installed before installing MyListMate itself.
1) Colour Depth
For MyListMate to run correctly, your
computer must be set up with at least a 16-bit colour display (65535
colours). The setup program will check this and warn you if your display
is not set up for enough colour depth.
NOTE that the setup program will allow you to force it to continue past this
point. However, you may have display problems when MyListMate runs if your
computer is not set up for at least 16-bit colour.

2) Windows Common Controls MyListMate takes advantage of some of the features available in v5 of the Windows Common Controls. Therefore, for MyListMate to function correctly, you need to have v5 of the Windows Common Controls installed on your computer. Setup will detect which version of the Windows Common Controls are on your computer and if necessary the v5 Common Controls update patch will be run. If it is necessary to install the Windows Common Controls upgrade then your machine will need to reboot before the MyListMate setup can continue. Please allow your computer to restart. After your computer has restarted, the MyListMate setup program should continue automatically. If it does not, please run it again manually. If the installation of the Windows Common Controls update was successful then the MyListMate setup will check the version and continue to the next step of the installation. If the installation of the Windows Common Controls was not successful, we suggest you take the following action until installation is successful : 1) Download 50comupd.exe from the MyListMate web site, or from the Microsoft web site and run it manually. 2) Search the Microsoft site to determine the error you are encountering with the 50comupd.exe installation. 3) Send us an email using our Contact form explaining the problem in detail. |

3) Microsoft DAO (Data
Access Objects) Setup will detect whether DAO 3.5 is already installed on your computer and if not then the DAO 3.5 installation program will be run. Please note that the Microsoft
