Backups are an important concept when doing anything with computers. Files can be damaged or even destroyed by events such as power failures, abnormal PC shutdowns, user error. You should make it part of your routine to make regular backups of any data on your computer to external media (floppy disk, tape, JAZ drive etc). With regular backups, if your files are damaged, at least you have something that you can restore. Your files may not be as up to date as when the problem occurred, but at least you have something. The more regular your backups, the less work you will lose if you ever need to restore your files. MyListMate can help you with local backups (as opposed to external backups) by automatically making a copy of the MyListMate database file when you exit from the program. See Preferences : General for information on Backup options. The MyListMate database is
contained in a file called MyListMate.cdb, which is stored in the folder where
MyListMate is installed. eg. C:\Program Files\MyListMate\MyListMate.cdb. |
